Antique and Rare Wood,Metal,Stone & Ceramic Objects

I travel the world actively searching for and collecting antique hand-carved and hand-worked metal utilitarian bowls and objects….I find them to be absolutely authentic and fascinating.

In many villages these forms had long not been used with the conveniences of modern vessels preferred instead.

Before mass manufacturing and the introduction of cheap plastic containers all utilitarian objects were made from natural materials.

While classes of traditional craftsman existed to make these by hand. This took incredible time, skill and patience. Secrets were passed down from father to sons and mothers to daughters. 

I see these rare objects in the context of a time when people all around the world were more dependent on and in tune with nature.

Many of these art forms have now essentially been lost and few objects shall never be made in this way again. But what is left are the unique objects themselves for us  to still enjoy and enrich our lives.

To see, hold and beautiful our homes with is a wonderful experience.
