Discuss Contemporary Art
Contemporary Art covers a wide range of art and artists from different eras and different price points in the art market. A lot of art is bought for the sole purpose of decorative purposes and some only for investment.
Not only is the work all highly individualistic but how artists present their work is similarly different. Many artists sell through established galleries, their own galleries and dealers. Others sell through shows, directly or through agents.
It is the same with people who collect art. Some art buyers buy from only galleries, on the secondary market at auction or directly from the artists themselves. Some people buy only 'value' while other buyers want the most recent or rarest works.
I am always searching for interesting contemporary art and artists who are committed to their work. I represent them both to galleries, collectors and art buyers and show their works on a regular basis.
Unknown and anonymous works are something I find very interesting and sometimes very true to the artists intentions which frequently was less about value and more about experiencing the art itself. I find this encourages individual thought and a unique experience for the buyer, but such artworks may struggle to keep increasing in financial value. An artist must be somewhat prolific and gain visibility or 'relevance' in today's competitive art market.
Working with artists with a growing demand and recognized profiles as well as accepted blue-chip art is especially interesting. To locate and find available works at this level is a challenge. Not only do I have long term relationships with actively producing artists, but also with dealers and collectors.
Lastly but not least are works of interest that just magically appear through my network, with which I have a limited time to locate a buyer before they gets sold.
I am very pleased to show you what I have available for sale currently and also source whatever your contemporary art requirements are. Again, I offer an initial conversation, complimentary consultation and regular discussions concerning my progress and findings in this endeavour.
I am happy to facilitate gallery as well as artist introductions when possible as well as secure appropriate artwork.
