Vintage Navajo Rug, J.B. Moore Crystal Variant, ca 1930

This dynamic rug is woven using homespun yarns. The white, black, tan, dark brown and variously carded other brown hues are all natural.

The red colour in the interlocking vibrant central multi-cross design is an aniline red and it jumps off the design flanked by four brown crosses.

These crosses symbolize the Four Sacred Mountains of the Navajo nation.
